A complete redesign for 2015 is impossibly light, flexible, and showcases a sleek, sexy, simplistic, and sophisticated new design that is the perfect combination of fashion and function. Carbon fiber is a naturally rigid material, but to make the Holy Grail of neck protection we won’t accept that. Flexibility is the key to absorption, dispersion, and mobility so we tested countless weave combinations and layering techniques to obtain the most amount of flex possible out of an extremely rigid material. As it turns out, we achieved a significant increase in flexibility, and a lower weight, making the Atlas Carbon the Holy Grail of neck protection.
- Split-Flex Frame helps mimic natural body movements to create the best experience possible
- All new Easy Open system allows for quick, repeatable entry and exit with a simple push of a button, in any weather condition
- One mount, six positions, reversible to adjust size, and choose from a -10, 0, or +10 back support angle in either position
- All new long travel front chest suspension features 30mm of travel (a 300% increase), and is slightly stiffer to help dampen a wider range of impact forces
- Choose from two possible height adjustments to create the best fit for your body type and helmet choice
- All new back supports increase contact with the body by 8% over the previous model, and avoids your spine by sitting on the surrounding muscles
- All new chest support design is stronger, lighter, more compatible with chest protectors, and still sits around your sternum
- Hybrid Strap combines the comfort of a chest strap, with the function and versatility of elastic X straps
- New weight (575 grams) is 12% lower than the previous model (Medium size/Optional pads removed)
- By sitting on 27% more of the body than the competition, comfort is maximized, and forces are distributed more efficiently over the body
